How many credits you get#
Your account has one pool of credits, shared by all its workspaces. It refills every month.
| Plan | AI credits |
|---|---|
| Trial | 500,000 for the 14 days |
| Launch | 3,000,000 a month |
| Scale | 8,000,000 a month |
| Infrastructure | 20,000,000 a month |
| Each extra workspace | 1,000,000 more a month |
Prices for each plan are on the pricing page.
See where your credits went#
- In the sidebar, click Settings, then the Billing Details tab.
- Scroll to Where your credits went. It lists this billing period's credits by type of work, such as Page fixes applied, Articles written or Weekly agent runs.
- The list covers the workspace selected in the sidebar. To check another website, switch workspace at the top of the sidebar and look again.

Only the owner sees Billing Details
Everyone on the team sees the AI Credits bar at the bottom of the sidebar. It turns amber at 70% used and red at 90%. The detailed breakdown is on the owner's Billing Details tab.
Why a lot went on day one#
When you connect a new site, your agents run a full site diagnosis and build a search baseline. This is the biggest job they ever do, and it runs once per site. Your usage in the first week looks much higher than it will be in later weeks.
- On a trial: SEOmatic pays for this first-day setup, up to 400,000 credits. The Where your credits went card says We covered them and shows how many credits it used. They do not count against your 500,000. Later weekly runs do count.
- On a paid plan: the setup counts. If it was a big share of your month, the card says what percentage went to one-time setup that never runs again.
What a task costs#
Every proposed task on the AI Agents board shows an estimate, such as "About 2,500 to 8,000 credits" for a new title and description. The range depends on the type of fix. The estimate covers writing the change and the safety review. You are charged what the run really used. A campaign shows the credits it has used in its panel, and it pauses with Budget spent when it reaches the budget you approved.
Credits you get back#
- A failed SEO Copilot answer costs nothing. The credits come back on their own. They show as Refunded by us.
- Work we could not finish is refunded. When a task ends without a change because of something on our side, such as our quality review holding it back or a failed write, its credits come back within a day. They show as Returned: work we could not finish.
The daily credit cap#
Each workspace also has a daily limit on what your agents spend on their own. By default it is 10% of your plan's monthly credits (on a trial, 10% of the plan you picked), and never less than 50,000 a day. When a workspace reaches it, the work your agents run on their own waits until the next day and then carries on. Your monthly credits are not used up.
- Pick the workspace in the sidebar, then open Settings > AI Agents.
- In Agent Settings, find Daily credit cap. The line under it shows what was spent today.
- Type a higher or lower number, or leave it empty to use your plan's default. Click Save.

Owners and Admins can change the cap. A lower cap spreads your credits over the month. A higher cap lets your agents finish more in one day.
When credits reset#
- Monthly plans: on your renewal date each month.
- Yearly plans: at the start of each calendar month. You still get your monthly amount every month.
- Unused plan credits do not roll over.
- Credit packs do roll over. They never expire while your subscription is active, and they are used after your monthly credits.
- Does SEO Copilot use credits on the Free plan?
- No. The Free plan includes 5 questions a month instead of credits. On a trial or paid plan, questions are not counted, and each answer uses credits based on its size.
- Do I get credits back if I delete a workspace?
- No. Credits a workspace already used still count for this month.
- What happens when my credits run out?
- Approved work waits and nothing is lost. See what happens when you run out of credits.
