Welcome to SEOmatic! By using our SaaS service, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our service.
The service at seomatic.ai and app.seomatic.ai is provided by SEOmatic, 1 rue Marguerin, 75014 Paris, France (“SEOmatic”, “we”, “us”).
SEOmatic is a software-as-a-service platform whose AI agents work on your website's search visibility. With your permission, the service reads data from the accounts you connect (such as Google Search Console and your CMS), diagnoses SEO issues, proposes changes such as titles, descriptions, structured data, links, and articles, and publishes them to the sites you connect. You choose how much the agents may do on their own: by default each change waits for your approval, and you can switch a workspace to a mode where the changes that mode allows are published without a per-change approval. The controls that apply in every mode are described at seomatic.ai/trust. You can also use the service through SEO Copilot in the app, our API, MCP server, and command-line tool, and through integrations we offer. Paid plans include a monthly allowance of AI credits that AI work draws on.
We may change, add or remove features of the service over time. Suspension and termination of accounts are covered under Acceptable Use and Suspension below.
In order to use our service, you must register for an account and provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
You decide what the agents may do. You are responsible for the changes you approve and for the autonomy mode you choose for each workspace, including the changes that mode lets the agents publish without a per-change approval.
Before the agents edit an existing page, SEOmatic saves the page as it was, and you can restore that saved version from SEOmatic. Changes that remove pages from Google's index or redirect them always wait for the approval of an admin of your workspace: no autonomy mode applies them on its own.
Search engines and AI assistants decide rankings, traffic and what appears in their answers. We do not guarantee any ranking, traffic or visibility in AI answers.
Paid plans are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly in advance through our payment provider, Stripe, at the prices shown on our pricing page when you subscribe.
Free trial. Your first paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required, and a $1 card verification is charged when the trial starts; it is refunded in full if you cancel during the trial. If you do not cancel, the plan is billed when the trial ends. The trial is offered once: if you have had a subscription that ended, a new subscription is billed right away, without a trial or card verification. Using the Free plan first does not use up your trial.
Changing plans. A plan change takes effect immediately. During a paid period, an upgrade is charged the difference for the rest of the billing period, and a downgrade gives a credit for the unused time, applied to your next invoices. A change made during the trial does not start billing or move the trial end date.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, you keep access until then, and you are not charged again.
AI credits. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits, which resets every month, including on yearly plans. Unused allowance does not carry over. When the allowance or a plan limit is reached, the work that needs it stops until the next reset, until you upgrade or, for credits, until you add a credit pack: we never bill overage. Credit packs are one-time purchases that need an active subscription; their credits carry over from month to month and do not expire while your subscription is active. Pay-as-you-go purchases, such as single articles, do not need a subscription and do not expire.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it and you keep full access for 72 hours. After that, the service is restricted until the payment is made or your payment method is updated.
Refunds. Apart from the trial card verification described above, payments are not refundable, and we do not refund partial billing periods, except where the law requires it. The free trial is how you try SEOmatic before you pay.
You may connect only the sites and accounts you are authorized to manage. You must not use the service or its agents to publish unlawful, infringing, deceptive or spam content, to attack or overload the service, or to resell or share access outside your plan. You must not use the service for any illegal purpose or in breach of the laws that apply to you, including copyright laws.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, is used for fraud, or still has unpaid invoices after the grace period described under Plans and Billing. When we can, we will tell you why. You can stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time.
The service and all content and materials included on the service, such as text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are the property of SEOmatic or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use any content or materials on the service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent. This does not apply to your content: the data you connect and the content the service publishes to your own sites belong to you.
Our service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the service or the information, content, materials, or products included on the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any liability that the law does not allow to be limited. Subject to that, our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, revenue, traffic or search rankings.
This limit also applies to claims under our Data Processing Agreement, whose section 11 refers liability to these Terms. It limits the amount of a claim, not what we are responsible for: under the DPA we remain responsible for our sub-processors (section 6) and for our other data-protection obligations.
You agree to indemnify and hold SEOmatic and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes to these Terms, we will provide notice of such changes, such as by sending an email, providing a notice through the service, or updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the service after any such changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
