- Sign in with the Google account that owns your blog and tick the Blogger permission.
- SEOmatic picks the blog that matches your site. If your account has several, choose one in Choose your blog and click Connect.

| New posts and pages | Live | |
| URL | Paste | Blogger's API cannot change a post's address |
| Meta description | Paste | The Search Description box exists only in the Blogger editor |
| Canonical | Paste | |
| Noindex | Paste | Custom robots tags exist only in the Blogger editor |
| Structured data | Paste | |
| Redirects | Paste |
Pasting a meta description
In Blogger, open Settings and turn on Enable search description once. Then open the post, find Search Description in the post settings, paste the text and click Update. Then click I've pasted it on the task.
Fix connection errors#
| You see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Google authorization expired. Please connect Blogger again. | Click Connect with Google again. |
| That blog is not part of this Google authorization. | Sign in with the Google account that owns the blog. |
| Failed to create the connection. Please connect again. | Start again from Add Connection. |
- Does disconnecting remove SEOmatic from my Google account?
- No, because that would also cut off Search Console. Remove it in your Google account settings if you want.
- Why is so much paste on Blogger?
- Blogger's API only exposes titles and text. Your agents still write every other change for you, ready to paste.
