1. You send Muse the setup message. It adds SEOmatic as a custom connector and sends you a sign-in link.
2. You sign in to SEOmatic and approve access. Muse saves a skill so SEO questions go to SEOmatic first.
3. You ask Muse about your site, from the app, the web or WhatsApp. Muse calls SEOmatic's tools on your workspace.
4. SEOmatic returns your real data and analysis, with the date range it covers, and Muse writes the answer as text.
5. If you ask for a fix on a paid plan, Muse checks with you, stages the change in SEOmatic, and you approve it before it goes live.

Muse sets up connectors from a chat message, so the setup is one message and one sign-in. It takes about a minute, and you only do it once.

1. Copy the setup message. Copy the setup message from this page. It names the SEOmatic server, https://app.seomatic.ai/api/mcp, and asks for OAuth.
2. Send it to Muse. Paste it into a new message to Muse in the app, at muse.ai or in WhatsApp. If Muse asks, confirm it is a remote MCP server over HTTP that uses OAuth.
3. Approve the sign-in. Open the link Muse sends back, sign in or create a free SEOmatic account, approve access and pick your site.
4. Let Muse save the skill. Muse saves the connector and a skill, then lists your SEOmatic workspaces to show the connection works.
5. Ask your first question. Try “What are my three quickest SEO wins right now?” and check the answer cites your real Search Console numbers.

If the sign-in link does not work for you, use an API key as a fallback: create one in SEOmatic under Settings, AI Agents, API Keys, and ask Muse to store it in its credential vault as a Bearer token. Never send a key as a chat message. You can revoke a key any time on the same settings page.

Use the setup message. It signs in with OAuth, so no secret ever passes through the chat, and it asks Muse to save a skill so SEO questions go to SEOmatic without reminders.
