Manus finishes long, multi-step tasks on its own computer. Add SEOmatic as a custom MCP server and those tasks run on your own site: real Google Search Console data, a live crawl, your AI visibility, and on paid plans fixes staged for you to approve. Set an Automation and the SEO brief arrives every Monday.

SEOmatic is a hosted MCP server that Manus adds as a custom MCP connector. Once connected, any Manus task or Automation can call SEOmatic's SEO tools on your site: Search Console, audits, AI visibility and, on paid plans, the agents that stage fixes.
October 2026
A Manus account that can add custom MCP connectors, and a free SEOmatic account, which you can create during sign-in.
Free to connect, with 5 questions a month from your own data (plus 10 once you connect Search Console). Paid plans add agents that stage fixes for your approval. See pricing.
Endpoint, auth, every tool and what it costs: SEOmatic MCP server docs.
An Automation runs every Monday and reports only what changed: clicks, movers, AI visibility and approvals waiting.
Your Search Console data next to two competitors' domains and backlinks, written up as a report you can share.
A plan built from your striking-distance queries, traffic drops and audit issues, ordered by expected impact.
Queries you already get impressions for without a page, turned into a content calendar.
How ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Overviews describe your business, and who they name instead of you.
A crawl of up to 30 pages plus the pages that earn your clicks, so a redesign does not lose them.
Manus is built to research, compare and write up. SEOmatic gives it the one thing it cannot find on the open web: how your own site performs on Google and in AI answers. The result is research that ends in a decision, not a generic checklist.
An example on the Acme Plumbing demo site. You ask Manus:
“Every Monday at 8am, run my SEOmatic weekly brief and send me only what changed. Ask me before staging anything.”
Manus calls SEOmatic:
gsc_performance: Oct 3 to Oct 9 vs Sep 26 to Oct 2 (7 days each)get_ai_visibility: latest scantask_manage: read the plan boardManus answers:
Automation saved: every Monday at 8:00. Here is what this week's brief would have said:
I will not stage or approve anything without your say-so.
Also try:
Manus Automations start a task on a schedule. Pair one with SEOmatic and the Monday SEO check writes itself:
Each brief compares two full weeks with exact dates, so you can check every number against Search Console.
Start a Manus task with SEOmatic connected and try:
SEOmatic connects to Manus as a custom MCP server. There is no Google Cloud project to set up, and the OAuth route needs no API key. About a minute.
Manus: Settings > Connectors > Add connectors > Custom MCP
Name: SEOmatic
Transport: HTTP
Server URL: https://app.seomatic.ai/api/mcp
Sign-in: OAuth (Manus asks you to log in on the first tool call)
# API key instead of OAuth: add a request header
Authorization: Bearer smk_live_...Using an API key? Put it in the connector's request header, never in a task message. Create keys in SEOmatic under Settings, AI Agents, API Keys.
| Route | Best for | How |
|---|---|---|
| Custom MCP with OAuth | Most people. No key to copy | Settings, Connectors, Add connectors, Custom MCP. URL https://app.seomatic.ai/api/mcp, HTTP. Log in on the first tool call. |
| Custom MCP with an API key | Shared Manus accounts, or when the OAuth window will not open | Same server, plus the request header Authorization: Bearer smk_live_... with a key from SEOmatic's Settings, AI Agents, API Keys. |
| Connector plus a Manus skill | Teams who want Manus to follow the same SEO playbook | Add the connector, then upload the SEOmatic skill files from github.com/Minh42/seomatic-mcp as Manus Skills, like weekly-brief and seo-audit. |
Pick the custom MCP with OAuth. It takes about a minute, no key is stored in Manus, and every task and Automation can use SEOmatic from then on.
Manus reads Google Search Console through SEOmatic, and the fixes you approve go live in your CMS. Pick your platform for the exact steps:
Both come from the same team. This page is about Manus, the general agent you hand tasks to: research, documents, slides, code and, with SEOmatic, SEO work on your own site.
Pick Manus when you want a task done, like an audit or a 90-day plan. Pick Cue when you want one agent to own SEO week after week. Both reach the same SEOmatic workspace.
Connecting is free, and so is the SEOmatic account behind it: no card. A free account answers 5 questions a month from your own data, plus 10 bonus questions once you connect Google Search Console. Each tool call counts as one question, so a big request can use a few.
Free covers the diagnosis: Search Console reports and insights, site audits of up to 30 pages, live page analysis, and your AI visibility results. Live market data, like keyword volumes, backlink profiles and competitor domains, is part of paid plans, with one free keyword preview per workspace.
Paid plans remove the question limit and add the treatment: agents stage fixes on your site (titles, descriptions, content updates, technical fixes, internal links) and run campaigns and fresh AI visibility scans. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. See pricing.
A long Manus task can call several SEOmatic tools, and each call counts as one question on the free plan. A weekly brief fits easily on a paid plan. Manus bills its own usage under your Manus plan.
Manus can stage work in SEOmatic, never publish it on its own say-so. A staged change is a proposal: it says what will change and why, and nothing touches your site until you approve it. The assistant records your decision, and it is told never to approve anything on its own judgment. Approved fixes start within seconds, the page's previous state is stored, and any applied change can be rolled back. Changes that could take a page out of Google, like a noindex, need an extra explicit confirmation. Automations follow the same rule: a scheduled task can report and propose, and the approval is always yours.

How do I connect SEOmatic to Manus?
In Manus, open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add connectors and the Custom MCP tab, and add a custom MCP named SEOmatic with the URL https://app.seomatic.ai/api/mcp over HTTP. The first time Manus calls a SEOmatic tool, it asks you to log in. Sign in and pick your site.
Can Manus do SEO?
Manus can research and write about SEO, but on its own it cannot see your rankings, clicks or indexed pages. With SEOmatic connected, it reads your real Google Search Console data, audits your site and checks your AI visibility, and on paid plans it can stage fixes for you to approve.
Can Manus send me a weekly SEO report?
Yes. Write the task once, for example “Run my SEOmatic weekly brief and tell me only what changed”, and schedule it as a Manus Automation for Monday morning. Each brief compares two full weeks with exact dates.
Do I need an API key?
No. The custom MCP connector signs in with OAuth on the first tool call. Use an API key only if OAuth will not open, and put it in the connector's request header as Authorization: Bearer followed by the key, never in a chat message.
Is SEOmatic for Manus free?
Connecting and the SEOmatic account are free with no card. A free account answers 5 questions a month from your own data, plus 10 bonus questions once you connect Search Console. Paid plans remove the limit and add agents that stage fixes. Manus usage is billed by Manus.
Are the numbers Manus reports real?
Yes. They come from your own Search Console property through SEOmatic, and every answer names its exact date range and day count, so you can check any number yourself.
Do I need a Google Cloud project or service account?
No. You connect Search Console to SEOmatic with one Google sign-in, which takes about a minute. Manus never handles Google credentials.
Can it change my site without asking?
No. By default every change SEOmatic proposes waits for your approval before it touches your site, and your assistant is told never to approve on its own. Approved changes are stored with the page's previous state, so any edit to an existing page can be rolled back. If you later want low-risk fixes to go ahead on their own, you can turn that on in your autonomy settings; changes to your URLs or indexing, and new content, still wait for you.
Does Manus only write the fix, or does it ship it?
On paid plans, a fix Manus stages goes to SEOmatic as a proposal. Once you approve it, SEOmatic publishes it in your connected CMS, such as WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or Wix, and keeps the previous version for rollback.
Is Manus the same as Cue?
No. Both come from the same team. Manus is the general agent you hand tasks to. Cue is a separate app for personal agents that each own a standing job. Both can connect to the same SEOmatic workspace.
Same server, same tools, same approval rules. Pick the agent that fits the job.
