AI SEO Agents for Grok Bot

1. You build a Bot from the SEOmatic template: paste its instructions, add the SEO audit skill and the three routines.

1. Create the Bot. Create a new Bot (for example, SEO Teammate) and paste the template's INSTRUCTIONS.md into its Instructions.
2. Add SEOmatic as a custom MCP server. Use the URL https://app.seomatic.ai/api/mcp with Streamable HTTP and OAuth.
3. Sign in. Sign in or create a free SEOmatic account and approve access for the workspace the Bot should work on. If the Bot only accepts a token, use an API key from Settings, AI Agents, API Keys as the Bearer token.
4. Check the tools loaded. Ask the Bot “What tools do you have from this server?” and confirm the SEOmatic tools are listed.
5. Run one job, then add routines. Ask “Which of my pages are closest to page 1?”, check the answer cites your real numbers, then add the skill and the three routines from the template.

A Bot that runs on a schedule is exactly where approval matters most, so it never gets to skip it. A staged change is a proposal: it says what will change and why, and nothing touches your site until you approve it. The assistant records your decision, and it is told never to approve anything on its own judgment. Approved fixes start within seconds, the page's previous state is stored, and any applied change can be rolled back. Changes that could take a page out of Google, like a noindex, need an extra explicit confirmation.
