Claude Cowork is built for work that runs without you watching, so it suits a recurring check on your Ghost site: compare your posts and pages against Search Console every week, speak up only when something moved, and stage the fix. Nothing reaches Ghost until you approve it, and SEOmatic writes it through the Ghost Admin API.
You: Every Monday, check my Ghost site and flag pages that lose clicks.
Claude Cowork: This week's check: from Sep 13 to Oct 10 (28 days), /sump-pump-maintenance/ had 1,420 impressions and 12 clicks at position 8.3 for "sump pump maintenance". That is a low click rate for page one, so the title is the first thing to test: it reads "Sump Pump Maintenance". I staged a new title, "Sump Pump Maintenance: A 10-Minute Yearly Checklist", to be written to the post's meta title in Ghost. It waits for your approval, and I will report the verdict once the change has had time to settle.
An example on a demo site; your numbers come from your own Search Console.
In Ghost, go to Settings, then Integrations, add a custom integration and copy the Admin API Key. In SEOmatic, go to Connections and select Ghost. Enter your site URL and the key. SEOmatic validates it automatically. There is no collection or content type to pick, because Ghost does not need one. The full walkthrough, with every screen, is on the Ghost integration page.
In the Claude desktop app, open the Cowork tab, then Customize, then Connectors. Click the plus button, add a custom connector named SEOmatic with this URL, and sign in to SEOmatic.

Paste any of these into Claude Cowork. It answers from your data and stages the fix; you approve it before it reaches Ghost.
More that work well in Claude Cowork:
After you approve, SEOmatic writes the change through the Ghost Admin API and checks that it is live. Then it measures the result against the page's own baseline and your site's trend: 14 days after a title change, 28 after a content refresh, 90 after a new page. Each change is marked verified, ineffective or regressed, and a low-risk change that loses traffic is rolled back on its own. Ask Claude Cowork "Did my Ghost title changes work?" and it answers from those verdicts.
Full articles from research to finished draft, plus rewrites and content refreshes on posts already published.
Ghost has a real canonical field, so agents set it directly instead of handing you an instruction. They also know Ghost's sitemap quirk: self-referencing canonicals are deliberately left unset, because Ghost drops any post with a custom canonical from its sitemap.
JSON-LD written into your post head, and only the types Ghost does not already output. Ghost emits Article on every post, so the agents add FAQPage, HowTo, Product and similar instead, never a duplicate entity. It lands live, straight into the post.
Ghost gives you clean technical SEO out of the box and then stops. Nothing decides which posts are slipping, rewrites them, or links them to each other. That is the part agents take over, and Ghost's Admin API lets them reach well past titles and meta.
Every field, limit and safeguard is on the Ghost integration page.

Can Claude Cowork fix SEO on my Ghost site?
Yes, through SEOmatic. Claude Cowork reads your Search Console data, finds the posts and pages losing clicks and stages the fix, which SEOmatic writes to Ghost once you approve. The three setup steps are on this page.
What can Claude Cowork change on Ghost?
SEOmatic works on your posts and pages through the Ghost Admin API: titles, descriptions and content first, and more where Ghost allows it. Every field and limit is listed on the Ghost integration page.
How do I know if a Ghost fix worked?
SEOmatic measures every change it ships against the page's own baseline and your site's trend, 14 days after a title change, 28 after a content refresh and 90 after a new page, and marks it verified, ineffective or regressed. Claude Cowork can read those verdicts for you.
What do I need on the Claude Cowork side?

Will Claude Cowork publish to Ghost without asking?
No. By default every change SEOmatic proposes waits for your approval before it touches your site, and your assistant is told never to approve on its own. Approved changes are stored with the page's previous state, so any edit to an existing page can be rolled back. If you later want low-risk fixes to go ahead on their own, you can turn that on in your autonomy settings; changes to your URLs or indexing, and new content, still wait for you.
Is it free?
Connecting is free with no card. Search Console reports, page checks and 30-page site audits are free, as often as you like; live market data uses free questions, 5 a month plus a one-time 10 when you connect Search Console. Staging and publishing fixes is part of paid plans, which start with a 14-day free trial.
