Perplexity Computer is built for work that runs without you watching, so it suits a recurring check on your BigCommerce site: compare your products, web pages and blog posts against Search Console every week, speak up only when something moved, and stage the fix. In Approval mode nothing reaches BigCommerce until you approve it, and SEOmatic writes it through a BigCommerce store API account.
You: Every Monday, check my BigCommerce site and flag pages that lose clicks.
Perplexity Computer: This week's check: from Sep 13 to Oct 10 (28 days), /drain-snake-50-ft/ had 1,240 impressions and 10 clicks at position 7.7 for "50 ft drain snake". That is a low click rate for page one, so the title is the first thing to test: it reads "Drain Snake 50". I staged a new title, "50 ft Drain Snake with Auto-Feed", to be written to the product's page title in BigCommerce. It waits for your approval, and I will report the verdict once the change has had time to settle.
An example on a demo site; your numbers come from your own Search Console.
In your BigCommerce admin, go to Settings, then API, then Store-level API accounts, and create an account with Content and Products set to modify. Copy the access token, which is only shown once. In SEOmatic, go to Connections and select BigCommerce. Paste the token and your store hash, which is the identifier in your admin URL. The full walkthrough, with every screen, is on the BigCommerce integration page.
In Perplexity, open Plugins in the sidebar (Customize, then Connectors on the older UI), choose Add custom, then Add MCP connector, and pick Remote. Name it SEOmatic and paste this URL. Under Advanced, pick OAuth and Streamable HTTP. Tick the acknowledgement, select Add, then select the SEOmatic card to sign in.

Paste any of these into Perplexity Computer. It answers from your data and stages the fix; you approve it before it reaches BigCommerce.
More that work well in Perplexity Computer:
After you approve, SEOmatic writes the change through a BigCommerce store API account and checks that it is live. Then it measures the result against the page's own baseline and your site's trend: 14 days after a title change, 28 after a content refresh, 90 after a new page. Each change is marked verified, ineffective or regressed, and a low-risk change that loses traffic is rolled back on its own. Ask Perplexity Computer "Did my BigCommerce title changes work?" and it answers from those verdicts.
Web pages and blog posts, created new or rewritten in place: titles, body content, slugs and meta descriptions.
The agent arrives switched off. Once on, it ships undoable fixes by itself and waits for you on anything larger, unless you choose Approval mode, where every change waits.
Editing a hidden page, product or blog post leaves it hidden. An edit never changes visibility, and a product edit never touches price or weight.
BigCommerce gives you no built-in way to write a distinct meta description for every product, so on a large catalogue it is hand-written or it is duplicated. Agents are the third option.
Every field, limit and safeguard is on the BigCommerce integration page.
BigCommerce
A BigCommerce store with owner or admin access. You create a store-level API account under Settings > API and grant it Content (modify), Products (modify) and Store Information (read-only). The access token is shown only once, so copy it before you close the dialog.
Perplexity Computer
A Perplexity Pro or Max plan, which includes Computer, and a free SEOmatic account. On an organization plan, an admin must turn on Allow members to add custom connectors first; it is off by default.
Perplexity Computer works the same way on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Blogger, Wix, Squarespace, Framer, Drupal, HubSpot CMS, Contentful, Strapi, Sanity, Next.js, Lovable, GitHub, Craft CMS.
Can Perplexity Computer fix SEO on my BigCommerce site?
Yes, through SEOmatic. Perplexity Computer reads your Search Console data, finds the products, web pages and blog posts losing clicks and stages the fix, which SEOmatic writes to BigCommerce once you approve. The three setup steps are on this page.
What can Perplexity Computer change on BigCommerce?
SEOmatic works on your products, web pages and blog posts through a BigCommerce store API account: titles, descriptions and content first, and more where BigCommerce allows it. Every field and limit is listed on the BigCommerce integration page.
How do I know if a BigCommerce fix worked?
SEOmatic measures every change it ships against the page's own baseline and your site's trend, 14 days after a title change, 28 after a content refresh and 90 after a new page, and marks it verified, ineffective or regressed. Perplexity Computer can read those verdicts for you.
What do I need on the Perplexity Computer side?
A Perplexity Pro or Max plan, which includes Computer, and a free SEOmatic account. On an organization plan, an admin must turn on Allow members to add custom connectors first; it is off by default.
Will Perplexity Computer publish to BigCommerce without asking?
No. By default every change SEOmatic proposes waits for your approval before it touches your site, and your assistant is told never to approve on its own. Approved changes are stored with the page's previous state, so any edit to an existing page can be rolled back. If you later want low-risk fixes to go ahead on their own, you can turn that on in your autonomy settings; changes to your URLs or indexing, and new content, still wait for you.
Is it free?
Connecting is free with no card. Search Console reports, page checks and 30-page site audits are free, as often as you like; live market data uses free questions, 5 a month plus a one-time 10 when you connect Search Console. Staging and publishing fixes is part of paid plans, which start with a 14-Day Trial for $1, credited to your first payment.
