Gemini reads your real Google Search Console data through SEOmatic, finds what is holding your BigCommerce products, web pages and blog posts back, stages the fix, and tells you whether it worked. By default nothing goes live on BigCommerce until you approve it.

Gemini cannot reach your BigCommerce admin on its own. With SEOmatic connected, it answers from your real Search Console data, names the products, web pages and blog posts that are losing clicks, and stages the fix. You approve it in the conversation or in SEOmatic, and SEOmatic writes it to BigCommerce through a BigCommerce store API account.
You: Why does /drain-snake-50-ft/ get impressions but so few clicks?
Gemini: From Sep 13 to Oct 10 (28 days), /drain-snake-50-ft/ had 1,240 impressions and 10 clicks at position 7.7 for "50 ft drain snake". That is a low click rate for page one, so the title is the first thing to test: it reads "Drain Snake 50". I staged a new title, "50 ft Drain Snake with Auto-Feed", to be written to the product's page title in BigCommerce. Approve it here or in SEOmatic and it goes live on BigCommerce.

In your BigCommerce admin, go to Settings, then API, then Store-level API accounts, and create an account with Content and Products set to modify. Copy the access token, which is only shown once. In SEOmatic, go to Connections and select BigCommerce. Paste the token and your store hash, which is the identifier in your admin URL. The full walkthrough, with every screen, is on the BigCommerce integration page.
At gemini.google.com, open Settings, then Connected Apps, choose Add a custom app and paste this URL, then sign in to SEOmatic. Using Gemini CLI on a Workspace account or with a Gemini API key? Run gemini extensions install https://github.com/Minh42/seomatic-mcp in your shell instead.

Paste any of these into Gemini. It answers from your data and stages the fix; you approve it before it reaches BigCommerce.
More that work well in Gemini:
After you approve, SEOmatic writes the change through a BigCommerce store API account and checks that it is live. Then it measures the result against the page's own baseline and your site's trend: 14 days after a title change, 28 after a content refresh, 90 after a new page. Each change is marked verified, ineffective or regressed, and a low-risk change that loses traffic is rolled back on its own. Ask Gemini "Did my BigCommerce title changes work?" and it answers from those verdicts.
Web pages and blog posts, created new or rewritten in place: titles, body content, slugs and meta descriptions.
The agent arrives switched off and starts in approval mode. It acts on its own only where you allow it.
Editing a hidden page, product or blog post leaves it hidden. An edit never changes visibility, and a product edit never touches price or weight.
BigCommerce gives you no built-in way to write a distinct meta description for every product, so on a large catalogue it is hand-written or it is duplicated. Agents are the third option.
Every field, limit and safeguard is on the BigCommerce integration page.
BigCommerce
A BigCommerce store with owner or admin access. You create a store-level API account under Settings > API and grant it Content (modify), Products (modify) and Store Information (read-only). The access token is shown only once, so copy it before you close the dialog.
Gemini
Gemini web app: a personal Google account, age 18 or over, in the US, in English, with Keep Activity on. Gemini CLI: a Google Workspace account or a Gemini API key. Google retired Gemini CLI for personal (free, Pro and Ultra) accounts on June 18, 2026; those accounts use Antigravity. Plus a free SEOmatic account.
Gemini works the same way on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Blogger, Wix, Squarespace, Framer, Drupal, HubSpot CMS, Contentful, Strapi, Sanity, Next.js, Lovable, GitHub, Craft CMS.
Can Gemini fix SEO on my BigCommerce site?
Yes, through SEOmatic. Gemini reads your Search Console data, finds the products, web pages and blog posts losing clicks and stages the fix, which SEOmatic writes to BigCommerce once you approve. The three setup steps are on this page.
What can Gemini change on BigCommerce?
SEOmatic works on your products, web pages and blog posts through a BigCommerce store API account: titles, descriptions and content first, and more where BigCommerce allows it. Every field and limit is listed on the BigCommerce integration page.
How do I know if a BigCommerce fix worked?
SEOmatic measures every change it ships against the page's own baseline and your site's trend, 14 days after a title change, 28 after a content refresh and 90 after a new page, and marks it verified, ineffective or regressed. Gemini can read those verdicts for you.
What do I need on the Gemini side?
Gemini web app: a personal Google account, age 18 or over, in the US, in English, with Keep Activity on. Gemini CLI: a Google Workspace account or a Gemini API key. Google retired Gemini CLI for personal (free, Pro and Ultra) accounts on June 18, 2026; those accounts use Antigravity. Plus a free SEOmatic account.
Will Gemini publish to BigCommerce without asking?
No. By default every change SEOmatic proposes waits for your approval before it touches your site, and your assistant is told never to approve on its own. Approved changes are stored with the page's previous state, so any edit to an existing page can be rolled back. If you later want low-risk fixes to go ahead on their own, you can turn that on in your autonomy settings; changes to your URLs or indexing, and new content, still wait for you.
Is it free?
Connecting is free with no card. Search Console reports, page checks and 30-page site audits are free, as often as you like; live market data uses free questions, 5 a month plus a one-time 10 when you connect Search Console. Staging and publishing fixes is part of paid plans, which start with a 14-day free trial.
