How SEOmatic's MCP Works on Blogger
The Short Answer
Blogger has no MCP server of its own as of October 2026. SEOmatic's MCP server (https://app.seomatic.ai/api/mcp) does the SEO work on Blogger. It reads your Google Search Console data, finds the posts and pages that are losing clicks or not indexed, and stages the fix through Google's Blogger API. By default nothing goes live until you approve it, every change can be rolled back, and each one is measured afterwards and marked verified, ineffective or regressed.
Which Blogger MCP Do You Need?
There is no Blogger MCP server to compare against. SEOmatic connects to Blogger through Google's Blogger API and gives your agent the SEO work: your Search Console data, fixes staged for your approval, and a verdict on each change.
What SEOmatic Can Change on Blogger
Blogger gives you free hosting on Google's infrastructure and then leaves you alone. Nothing tells you which posts are slipping, rewrites them, or links them together. That is the part agents take over, and they are upfront about the parts Blogger's API keeps off limits for everyone.
- Writes And Refreshes Posts: Full articles from research to finished draft, plus rewrites and content refreshes on posts and pages already published.
- Body Fixes, No Theme Edits: Internal links, FAQ blocks, heading fixes, broken-link repairs and freshness updates are all edits to the post body, so they need no theme changes and go live as soon as you approve them.
- Drafts And Labels: New posts can arrive as drafts for you to publish, labels are set on the way in, and publishing a draft later is one click.
- Honest About The Ceiling: Blogger's API exposes no meta description, canonical, robots or schema fields, for anyone. Agents never pretend otherwise: work that needs those arrives as a prepared change for you to apply in Blogger's own settings, and is never claimed as applied.
- Nothing Applies Without You: The agent arrives switched off and starts in approval mode. It acts on its own only where you allow it.
- A Diff For Every Change: A before and after view with the reasoning attached, so you see what changed and why.
Every field, limit and safeguard is on the Blogger integration page.
Connect Blogger and Your Agent
1. Connect Blogger to SEOmatic. In SEOmatic, go to Connections, select Blogger, and click Connect with Google. Sign in with the Google account that owns your blog and approve access. SEOmatic picks the blog that matches your workspace's site automatically. There is no collection or content type to choose.
2. Connect SEOmatic to your agent. Add https://app.seomatic.ai/api/mcp as a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) in your agent, then sign in to SEOmatic in the browser. Sign-in is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration, so there is no key to paste. Scripts and headless agents can send a workspace API key as a Bearer token instead.
https://app.seomatic.ai/api/mcpWhat to Ask About Your Blogger Site
- "Which Blogger posts lost the most clicks this quarter?"
- "Refresh my older posts that still get impressions but few clicks."
- "Find Blogger posts Google has not indexed and tell me why."
- "Which posts rank 5 to 15 for a query worth more traffic?"
- "Audit my blog's homepage and rank the fixes by impact."

From Answer to Fix
By default, nothing changes on your site until you approve it. A fix is staged as a proposal that says what will change and why. Approved fixes run within seconds, the page's previous state is stored, and any edit to an existing page can be rolled back. A rollback refuses to overwrite edits someone made since. Changes that could take a page out of Google, like a noindex, need an extra confirmation.
Every shipped change is measured against its own baseline and the site's trend: after 14 days for a title, 28 for a content refresh, 42 for striking-distance and cannibalization work, 90 for a new page. It is marked verified only when the gain over the site's own trend is statistically clear and worth at least 5 more clicks; otherwise it is ineffective, or regressed when it falls more than 15%. Low-risk changes that lose traffic roll back on their own.
What Is Free
Connecting is free with no card. Search Console reports, page checks and 30-page site audits are free, as often as you like. Live market data (keyword volumes, competitors, backlinks) uses free questions: 5 a month, plus a one-time 10 when you connect Search Console, and one question covers up to 5 lookups. Staging and publishing fixes is part of paid plans, which start with a 14-day trial.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an official Blogger MCP server?
No. Blogger has no MCP server of its own as of October 2026.
How is SEOmatic's MCP different on Blogger?
It is built for SEO: it reads your Search Console data, stages fixes to your Blogger posts and pages for your approval, and measures whether each change worked.
What do I need to connect Blogger?
A Blogger blog, on a blogspot.com address or a custom domain, owned by the Google account you connect with. No API key, no plugin, nothing to install.
Will SEOmatic publish to Blogger without asking?
No. By default every change waits for your approval, your agent is told never to approve on its own, and any applied change can be rolled back.
