Requirements
Google Chrome 116 or later and a free SEOmatic account with your site connected. It asks for access to the six AI engines' pages and to app.seomatic.ai, and nothing else.

How It Works
Step 1: Add the extension to Chrome.
Step 2: Connect it to your free SEOmatic workspace in one click. It learns which domains are yours from your workspace.
Step 3: Switch logging on. It is off until you do, and nothing is recorded while it is off.
Step 4: Use ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and Google search as you normally would. When one of your pages shows up as a cited source, the extension records that it was cited and at what position, and adds it to a running list in the popup and in your workspace.

Why not just use an AI visibility tool that runs prompts?
Those tools are useful for tracking a fixed set of questions over time, and SEOmatic runs scans like that too. But scripted prompts in logged-out sessions are not the answers you and your buyers see. The Citation Logger records citations from real, logged-in answers, so it complements a scan instead of replacing it.
Does it read my conversations?
No. It looks only at the source links attached to an answer, checks on your own machine whether any of them point at your connected domains, and keeps only yes or no plus the position. Your prompts and the answer text are never read or sent.
