Do you generate the sitemap for me?

No, and you almost certainly do not need us to. WordPress, Webflow, Shopify and Squarespace all build and update a sitemap for you already. We read the one your site publishes rather than adding a second one for you to keep in sync.

What if my sitemap is somewhere unusual?

Add the address yourself in Settings, under the agent's sitemap list. You can add up to twenty, and we use them on top of whatever we find automatically rather than instead of it. That covers sites where the sitemap sits behind a plugin path or a subdomain.

My site has thousands of pages. Is that a problem?

No. We follow up to fifty sitemap files and read up to five thousand URLs, which is enough to build an accurate picture of a site of that size. Each file is fetched once and cached for a week, so we are not hammering your server.

What if I have no sitemap at all?

Everything still works. When we cannot find one, the agent falls back to your Search Console data and its own crawl to learn what pages exist, and it deliberately stops using the sitemap check that removes stale plan items rather than guessing your pages are gone.

Does a sitemap get my pages indexed faster?

A sitemap tells Google what exists, but it does not decide when Google looks. That is why every page the agent publishes is also sent straight to Google for indexing rather than left to be discovered. The sitemap is the map; the indexing request is the knock on the door.
