OpenClaw is built for work that runs without you watching, so it suits a recurring check on your Strapi site: compare your entries against Search Console every week, speak up only when something moved, and stage the fix. In Approval mode nothing reaches Strapi until you approve it, and SEOmatic writes it through the Strapi API.
You: Every Monday, check my Strapi site and flag pages that lose clicks.
OpenClaw: This week's check: from Sep 13 to Oct 10 (28 days), /guides/burst-pipe had 2,330 impressions and 20 clicks at position 9.4 for "what to do when a pipe bursts". That is a low click rate for page one, so the title is the first thing to test: it reads "Burst Pipes". I staged a new title, "What to Do When a Pipe Bursts: The First 10 Minutes", to be written to the title in your SEO component. It waits for your approval, and I will report the verdict once the change has had time to settle.
An example on a demo site; your numbers come from your own Search Console.
In your Strapi admin, go to Settings, then API Tokens, and create one with full access, or custom access with create and update. In SEOmatic, go to Connections and select Strapi. Paste your API URL and the token, then pick the collection to work in. The full walkthrough, with every screen, is on the Strapi integration page.
Run this where your OpenClaw gateway runs. Then add your SEOmatic API key to openclaw.json (shown below) and restart the gateway.

Paste any of these into OpenClaw. It answers from your data and stages the fix; you approve it before it reaches Strapi.
More that work well in OpenClaw:
After you approve, SEOmatic writes the change through the Strapi API and checks that it is live. Then it measures the result against the page's own baseline and your site's trend: 14 days after a title change, 28 after a content refresh, 90 after a new page. Each change is marked verified, ineffective or regressed, and a low-risk change that loses traffic is rolled back on its own. Ask OpenClaw "Did my Strapi title changes work?" and it answers from those verdicts.
New entries written from research, plus title and slug fixes on ones already published. A body rewrite on a published entry comes to you as text to paste.
Agents write only what your content type already has. An unknown field would fail the whole save, so they never guess.
Meta is merged into your existing SEO component, so your canonical, keywords and social fields are not blanked.
Strapi has no core SEO fields, so most projects lean on a community plugin that changes hands and breaks on major upgrades. Agents work through the API instead, so there is nothing extra in your instance to go stale.
Every field, limit and safeguard is on the Strapi integration page.
Strapi
A Strapi instance reachable over the internet, running v4 or v5, and an API token with create and update permissions generated under Settings > API Tokens. Meta fields additionally need the community SEO plugin, which many Strapi starters already include.
OpenClaw

Can OpenClaw fix SEO on my Strapi site?
Yes, through SEOmatic. OpenClaw reads your Search Console data, finds the entries losing clicks and stages the fix, which SEOmatic writes to Strapi once you approve. The three setup steps are on this page.
What can OpenClaw change on Strapi?
SEOmatic works on your entries through the Strapi API: titles, descriptions and content first, and more where Strapi allows it. Every field and limit is listed on the Strapi integration page.
How do I know if a Strapi fix worked?
SEOmatic measures every change it ships against the page's own baseline and your site's trend, 14 days after a title change, 28 after a content refresh and 90 after a new page, and marks it verified, ineffective or regressed. OpenClaw can read those verdicts for you.
What do I need on the OpenClaw side?
A running OpenClaw gateway with Node.js available, and a free SEOmatic account with an API key from Settings, AI Agents, API Keys.
Will OpenClaw publish to Strapi without asking?
No. By default every change SEOmatic proposes waits for your approval before it touches your site, and your assistant is told never to approve on its own. Approved changes are stored with the page's previous state, so any edit to an existing page can be rolled back. If you later want low-risk fixes to go ahead on their own, you can turn that on in your autonomy settings; changes to your URLs or indexing, and new content, still wait for you.
Is it free?
Connecting is free with no card. Search Console reports, page checks and 30-page site audits are free, as often as you like; live market data uses free questions, 5 a month plus a one-time 10 when you connect Search Console. Staging and publishing fixes is part of paid plans, which start with a 14-Day Trial for $1, credited to your first payment.
